In Kilkenny, chances are as you walk the streets or drive through the countryside, you will have stumble across artisan craft workshops, lovingly selling hand crafted goods from solid wood furniture to small pieces of delicate textiles and jewellery

Home to a vibrant artistic community, Kilkenny is filled with galleries, craft shops and design studions featuring some of Irelands best known designer- makers such as Nicholas Mosse , Chesneau Leathers, Jerpoint Glass, Rudolf Heltzel and Moth to a flame, candle makers.
The MADE in Kilkenny trail features many of of these makers whose studios are often in idyllic settings, offering an opportunity to meet the people behind each beautifully made piece.

Duncan works to commission, producing one-off pieces of furniture. His signature is his uniquely curvaceous furniture; often asymmetrical yet balanced, creating a focal point in any room. He creates any form of freestanding furniture.
International jewellery designer, goldsmith and gemmologist. Jane designs and maks individually commissioned pieces in precious metal. Her work is unique and special.
A unique experience awaits you! They create their candles in a workshop by the bridge in Bennettsbridge. You can see these candles in production and browse in the adjoining shop, where Glow-Globes and Silkmoth Scented candles, to name but a few
Gus creates a wide range of functional stoneware pieces and large sculptural pieces for the home or garden. His large scale work includes garden planters and bird tables; produced to commission.
For almost 40 years Kathleen and Keith Leadbetter have created a unique collection of Irish handmade glassware from their family run craft studio in Stoneyford. The character and personality of the craftsmen can be seen in each of the handmade pieces that combine everyday functionality with great design. Today you are invited to visit the studio shop and witness the free glassblowing demonstrations.
Maeve combines fine art printmaking with her love of textiles to create work for exhibition and commission. She transforms her materials to express themes concerning human traces, change and influence.
