Guided Cycling Tours
Two tours are available per day commencing from your accommodation or pre-arranged location in Kilkenny City Centre. The first tour departs at 10:00am with the second tour departing at 2:00pm. The tour is 12km long and lasts approximately two hours and thirty minutes (2.5 hours). This tour can be shortened or extended and can suit all ages.
The Historical Cycling Treasure Hunt
The Historical Cycling Treasure Hunt is a really exciting way to discover Kilkenny.
Simply hire the bikes from us and we include the treasure maps along with the questions and clues.
The treasure maps will take you around Kilkenny cities medieval winding streets visiting all of Kilkenny's historical buildings.
The maps will include a brief history of each building and you will have to find the answers to the questions and fill in the blank spaces. The person or Team with the most correct answers are the winners.
If you complete the hunt you will receive a beautiful certificate stating that you completed Ireland's Medieval Mile Treasure Hunt.
The Treasure Hunt is fun and suitable for families, corporate groups, Hens and Stags, it is a environmentally friendly and educational.
What's BIKE 'N' HIKE
BIKE 'N' HIKE is Kilkenny Cycling Tours latest option for a fun day out for both visitors and locals alike.
BIKE ~ Simply hire a bike from us and enjoy the tranquillity and scenery as you cycle from Kilkenny City via the "Sion road" to the picturesque village of Bennettsbridge.
Take a break and visit Moth To A Flame candle makers, the Nicholas Mosse Pottery workshop, where you can experience the potters at work or just lunch and browse through the store. The bikes can be locked up and left at Nicolas Mosses and we will retrieve them.
HIKE ~ Return on foot to the City via the newly developed Nore Valley Walk.
Allow 45 – 50min to cycle to Bennettsbridge and if you opt to take the walking option – 2hrs for the return journey along the River Walk.
The Bike 'n' Hike option will be operating 7 days a week this year.
