Step into the quiet beauty of rural Kilkenny with Anu Crafts, a hands-on textile experience led by felt artist Heather Byrne. Based in Castlewarren, overlooking rolling fields and local sheep, Heather’s work is rooted in the landscape, heritage and natural materials of Ireland.

During this immersive workshop, you will discover the journey from fleece to felt, learning how locally sourced wool can be transformed into richly textured art. Guided by Heather, you will explore traditional wet felting techniques, work with natural fibres and create your own felted landscape piece inspired by the rugged beauty of Kilkenny.

This is a relaxed and supportive experience designed for creativity, curiosity and connection. All materials are provided, with Heather sharing the history of felting and the careful process behind this slow, tactile craft. You will also enjoy tea and local treats, with felt extras to take home so you can continue the design process afterwards.
