Bunting Fairy

Step into the joyful world of Bunting Fairy, a colourful textile studio in Kilkenny’s historic Castle Yard. Led by craftmaker Michelle Brady, this hands-on experience invites visitors to explore block printing, Irish linen and the pleasure of making something personal by hand.

In the Mo Scéal workshop, meaning My Story, you will create your own printed Irish linen A5 journal cover using hand-carved, nature-inspired wooden blocks, fabric paints and decorative trimmings. Michelle will guide you through the process, from practising on sample fabrics to learning how paint is applied and how simple design choices can bring your piece to life.

The workshop is warm, relaxed and full of personality, with time for tea, coffee, homemade Kilkenny treats and conversation along the way. You will leave with your own Irish linen journal cover, along with aftercare advice and ideas for adding stitching or finishing touches at home.
