The Clay Studios Bennettsbridge

Tucked away at the end of a leafy country lane near Bennettsbridge, The Clay Studios offers visitors a closer look at contemporary Irish ceramics in a working studio setting. Home to ceramic artists Gus Mabelson, Gráinne Watts and Tina Byrne, the studio and gallery sit within a place with its own rich craft heritage, formerly connected to Simon Pearce Glass and Stoneware Jackson Pottery.

This private studio and gallery experience is led by Gus Mabelson and Gráinne Watts, giving visitors the chance to meet the makers and learn more about their creative process. During the tour, you will explore the studio and gallery, hear about the design and making behind their handcrafted ceramics and see a short demonstration of ceramic technique.

The experience offers a relaxed and personal introduction to clay, contemporary craft and the skill involved in creating handmade pieces. There is also an opportunity to browse and purchase work directly from the studio.
