Wired Irish Crafts

Step inside Wired Irish Crafts in Kilkenny’s historic Castle Yard and discover the calming art of candle making. Founded by Tracy and Douglas Higgins, this eco-friendly candle studio creates hand-poured soy candles using natural wax, vegan fragrance oils, FSC-certified wooden wicks and reusable vessels.

In the Light & Scent workshop, you will be guided through the process of making your own candle, learning about fragrance, wax, sustainability and small-batch production along the way. Douglas and Tracy share the story behind Wired Irish Crafts and their thoughtful approach to creating beautiful candles with a lower environmental impact.

This is a sensory, relaxed and creative experience, giving you time to explore scent, work with natural materials and create something personal. All tools and materials are included, along with an apron, soy wax, vegan fragrance oils and everything you need for the workshop. Tea, coffee, Kilkenny cookies and complimentary prosecco are also included if desired.

You will leave with a 40-hour burn soy candle and wax melts, with candles ready for collection within 24 hours or postage available by arrangement.
