Egg-citing Easter Activities in Kilkenny

Nore Valley Park

Easter sees the return of the park’s popular egg hunt. Hidden amongst the grounds of this beautiful farm, amidst chicken eggs and deer pens, children are challenged to find as many eggs as possible lying hidden around the farm and cash them in at reception for sweets and treats. The Park also offers families an opportunity to bottle feed the baby kids and lambs, or handle a small rabbit. Picnics are encouraged and a small on-site shop offers coffee and tea and home baked treats. For information www.norevalleyfarm.com

Explore the Spring Woodlands of Castlecomer Discovery Park

The Discovery Park at Castlecomer is full of activities on any regular day, but at Easter the park comes alive with themed events to entertain all ages. The daily Easter Woodland Hunt throughout the school holidays is a highlight. This themed trail takes families around 80 acres of woodlands and lakes, hunting for clues which can be redeemed at the visitor centre for treats.  www.discoverypark.ie
