Step into the spirt of Ireland’s ancient traditions on Friday 31st October from 6pm for a night of Samhain folklore. Celebrate Halloween where it all began – right here in Kilkenny – with live music from Up She Flew dressed as traditional straw boys from 7-9pm, spellbinding performances from a live magician (7-9pm) and hauntingly good fun throughout the evening.
Enter your turnip (the true Irish original jack-o-lantern) into our competition, leave your wishes on our Samhain tree, and enjoy special dishes & drinks inspired by the season. With an SFX make-up artist also on hand to transform you into spirits, witches and púcaí, it’s going to be a night that blends history, myth & magic in the heart of Kilkenny city – the true home of Halloween.
