Nicholas Mosse Pottery

Nicholas Mosse Pottery was established by Nicholas Mosse in 1976 after periods of training in England and Japan. His mission was to produce beautiful, functional pottery in the style of Irish Spongeware. The Nicholas Mosse Irish Country Shop has been created to offer the ultimate experience to the pottery’s many fans: a complete range of every shape and pattern sits side by side with loads of bargain priced ‘seconds quality’ pottery. The shop, in an old stone mill, on the River Nore in Bennettsbridge and is open Mon-Sat 10am - 6pm and Sunday 1:30 - 5pm. The cafe serves terrific tea, coffee, scones and light lunches using simple local ingredients from Nick's cousin in the mill across the river....truly local! Nicholas Mosse is more than just a business - it’s a love affair.
