Six Great Things To Do in Kilkenny This Autumn

Autumn is the best time of year as the air gets chillier, the cosy sweaters come out, the festivities of Halloween are approaching and comfort food is key on these colder days. But don't hang up your boots just yet as we have put together a huge array of events and activities happening in Kilkenny to keep you busy throughout these Autumn months.

Savour Kilkenny

Savour Kilkenny Food Festival

Savour Kilkenny Food Festival is one of Kilkenny’s favourite annual festivals with 50,000 people attending the festival over the October Bank holiday weekend.

With the Covid-19 restrictions, regrettably the 2020 festival, cannot proceed.
However, the Savour Kilkenny committee is anxious to play its part in supporting County Kilkenny’s food & beverage businesses to get ‘back to business’ and is looking at the feasibility of running ‘The Savour Series’. Each weekend during October, November and December, Kilkenny’s eateries and food producers will host innovative, interesting quality food events across the County.

We will keep you posted on events happening in local restaurants, hotels & pubs this October

Kilkenny Ghost Tour

Kilkenny Ghost Tour

Why not try a ghost tour through the ‘Medieval Capital of Ireland’ and uncover terrifying tales and horrid histories. With its narrow cobbled lanes, remnants of its city walls and with its mystic charm, it should be no surprise that Kilkenny is bursting with tales of the paranormal. Its people have told stories for generations, handed down to become far more than hearsay. Kilkenny’s ghostly tales all have one very important thing in common they are all based around fact and arise from genuine historic tragedies. Scares await at every turn. Full details can be found here.

Nore Vally Park Halloween

Join Nore Valley Park for a Spooktacular Treasure Hunt running from the 26th – 31st October.  Afterwards, enjoy toasting marshmallows on our bonfire and test your nerve in the infamous and truly terrifying scare maze.
