Jenkinstown House is the perfect glamping hideaway located just 15 minutes from Kilkenny City. Located on the grounds of a truly magnificent residence are self catering Shepherds Huts, the perfect choice for those seeking to immerse themselves on a relaxing escape in the stunning Kilkenny countryside.
Each hut is self-catering with a kitchenette and ensuite bathroom. They have their own patios complete with deck chairs, table and parasol. A garden door gives you direct access into Jenkinstown Woods which offers lovely walks, woodland trails and picnic areas.

Butterfly Valley Glamping
Butterfly Valley Glamping is a unique luxury camping experience located in an area known locally as the ‘Happy Valley’ of Thomastown. Located about two kilometres from Thomastown in the heart of beautiful Kilkenny countryside, the glampsite overlooks the woods and the river Nore.
This intimate site offers luxury bell tents, a vintage caravan and wooden pods with comfy beds, that will convince even the most reluctant camper of the benefits of enjoying the outdoors. A converted wooden lodge accommodates a fully equipped kitchen/dining/chill out area where tea/coffee and board games are available. Also in the lodge are luxury bathroom facilities. An outdoor BBQ and play area allow you to reconnect with the outdoors. At night a campfire area allows stargazing and toasting marshmallows while sipping a cold beer while the sun goes down.

Nore Valley Park
This family run campsite is located in a quiet, peaceful valley overlooking the River Nore. They have beautiful Wooden Lodges, a total of 35 Caravan Sites and 35 Tent Pitches on site with Free showers and hot water. A high standard of cleanliness is priority throughout the site and amenities with no noise or socialising after midnight. Situated on an open farm, patrons have free access to the farm and children are encouraged to assist in animal feeding along with numerous fun activities throughout the day. Their Wooden Lodges are furnished with bed linen for each of the beds. There are chairs, storage and a TV with RTE and Virgin media channels. There are no cooking or sanitary facilities in them, but patrons have access to the toilets and showers on the campsite, along with the new campers kitchen which is equipped with 2 Four-burner gas hobs, a kettle and a toaster and a microwave.
Summer Camps
Nore Valley Park are also running summer camps for 5 to 10 year olds from July 4th until August 15th, so parents can stay for a week and have their kids looked after from 10am – 4pm leaving them free to go and enjoy Kilkenny.
Prices start from €100 for a Wooden Lodge (Sleeps 3) based on a two night minimum stay.
