Aard Oakleigh is situated in the picturesque, craft village of Bennettsbridge. The bridge itself dates from the 1700’s and was built to replace an earlier bridge that was washed away a great flood. Bennettsbridge is the home of talented artisans such as the world-renowned Nicholas Mosse potters and Moth to a Flame candle makers. Bennettsbridge is also the end (or start) of the Nore Valley Trail, which is a must-see for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers as they can walk along a beautiful and well-maintained track running alongside the river all the way to Kilkenny city.
