Smartphone Photography Workshops for Everyone Who Loves Great Photos.

The Kilkenny Leisure Workshop is designed for adults wishing to master their smartphone camera use. This gentle learning experience is a one-day workshop set in the historic city of Kilkenny. No experience necessary. Small classes are designed to ensure you have fun while learning.

The workshop starts with a meeting with your tutors and fellow participants. Then a short class explains and practises camera settings and basic compositions. We will plan scenic, portrait, group and action shots to take before heading out on your adventure.

Practice new skills along the riverbank and in the surrounding woodlands. Work with the light and reflections to achieve stunning portraits, landscapes and macro shots in beautiful natural environments.

Capture images with spectacular medieval architecture, including the magnificent Kilkenny Castle, as your backdrop. On your return, use your best images to learn to edit, apply filters and special effects. Leave with your own digital album from the day and access to notes and instructional videos.

Please note that if the weather is poor, we offer an alternative indoor tour through cathedrals, classic Irish pubs and museums.
