Kyteler’s Inn is a truly historic Kilkenny bar and venue dating back to 1324 with an intriguing background – but you will have to visit to hear the whole story of witches & poisoned husbands! The building houses four bars over three floors with a great tradition for Music and is an IRISH MUSIC BAR award winner.
The Menu in Kyteler’s reflects local, Irish produce and fare served with local beers. Music is a huge part of Ireland’s history and Traditional Irish music has a home right here in Kyteler’s Inn. Enjoy a fun Trad session with a talented duo, every Monday to Thursday evening in the Main bar.
Visitors from all over the world join a local clientele for Bacon and Cabbage, Irish Stew, prime Steaks and our famous ‘Vol au Vents’ washed down with local Kilkenny beers, Harp lager and Guinness. This Kilkenny bar has catered for many tour groups over the years and would be very happy to look after any group in this great medieval building. Kytelers Inn, Kilkenny offers the perfect surroundings for special occasions, communions, birthdays, Christmas parties, office parties & private parties.
NEW! The Witches Brew. Officially called “Kytelers Inn Irish Red”, we’ve nicknamed it “The Witches Brew” after Alice Kyteler – the former owner of Kytelers who was accused of witchcraft, heresy and murder. Brewed locally by O’Haras, this creamy red ale comes on draught at 3.8% ABV and has a distinctive ale finish.
