Castlecomer Discovery Park: Harry Potter Day
Grab your wand and broom for a day of fun and magic. On 19th October Castlecomer Discovery Park will host a Harry Potter day. This is a special Harry Potter themed walking trail for young wizards and witches to explore. Solve the clues along the trail and discover the magic of the Discovery Park. “The wand chooses the wizard,” says the worlds best wandmaker Mr. Ollivander. Learn what it takes to make the most important tool to a magical person-a wand. Wand lore is highly advanced magic, that usually requires years of study but for one day only you can learn how to make a wand. Flying is the mode of transport most wizards prefer. While it’s not as fast as some other modes of transport, it is the most fun. Grab a broom as the Discovery Park is providing lessons for you to take to the sky. On the day you can meet Snowy the Owl, try your hand at Quidditch and maybe meet some characters that you know and love from the book and movies. Visitors are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite Harry Potter characters, and we will be giving prizes for the best costumes. All activities will be open to everyone-even muggles.
