Visit Kilkenny are proud to announce the winners and top finalists of our exciting photography competition. We asked people to send in a photo that may capture their best holiday memories of Kilkenny, or simply a photo that evokes the essence of what the county means to them! We asked for lifestyle, landscape, nature, medieval and adventure photos and it didn’t matter if you were budding photographer or just liked to get snap happy with a phone – all entrants were welcome. Due to unforeseen circumstances the competition was delayed and we thank everyone for their patience during this time.
The 6 Categories included: Medieval Kilkenny, Landscapes, Off The Grid, Natural World, Streetscapes and Faces of Kilkenny
5 finalists from each category were chosen with one overall winner, as listed below. We would like to thank our panel of judges Ciaran Conroy, Chairperson of Kilkenny Tourism, Vicky Comerford, Photographer, Anna O’Sullivan, Director of Butler Gallery and Martina Comerford, Tourism Officer in Kilkenny County Council who had the difficult task of picking the best 6 pictures out of so many fantastic photos that were submitted.
