Weather in the South East of Ireland
There’s never a dull moment when it comes to Irish weather especially during the summer!
Kilkenny is located in a region of Ireland which is commonly referred to as the ‘Sunny South East’.
Ireland has continued to see hot days during the summer over the recent years, 2018 saw Met Eireann record the highest June temperatures in more than 40 years. The country also saw the longest heat wave in the last 20 years with an 11 day heatwave in late June 2018.
Of course, the weather in Ireland is unpredictable so we recommend that you always have some light weight rain jackets close to hand.
