1938: Nicolas Winton, an English stockbroker, is shocked by the Nazi’s invasion of Czechoslovakia. He decides to travel to Prague, a journey that results in him helping to rescue 669 children from a terrible fate.

Fifty years later, and Nicky is haunted by the children he was unable to save. But when the BBC television show That’s Life!, introduces him to some of the now grown-up children he rescued, he finally begins to come to terms with the emotions he has carried for many years, and also receives the recognition his unknown bravery deserves.
