Tuesdays with Morrie is adapted from the phenomenally popular first novel by Mitch Albom. It is an autobiographical story of Mitch Albom, an accomplished journalist driven solely by his career, and Morrie Schwartz, his former college professor. Sixteen years after graduation, Mitch happens to catch Morrie’s appearance on a television news programme and learns that his old professor is battling Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Mitch is reunited with Morrie, and what starts as a simple visit, turns into a weekly pilgrimage and a last class in the meaning of life.

It is a heart-warming exploration of friendship and life. It will make you cry but above all it will make you laugh.

This production once again reunites producers Breda Cashe and Pat Moylan. Renowned for their many acclaimed productions over the past 25+ years including Alone It Stands and 12 Angry Men and the world premiere stage productions of The Shawshank Redemption and I, Keano.

‘Unforgettable! No matter how well you tell the story, the play makes it more vivid, more shattering, more humorous.’
New York Magazine
The role of Morrie will be played by DAN BUTLER, best known to TV audiences as the unforgettable and irrepressible Bulldog in the smash hit TV show Frasier. Dan is also a renowned theater actor, whose Broadway credits include Travesties (Tom Stoppard) Biloxi Blues (Neil Simon) and The Hothouse (Harold Pinter). His films include Silence of the Lambs and Crazy, Stupid, Love.

He will be joined by Irish actor STEPHEN JONES in the role of Mitch, whose life is transformed by his reconnection with his old mentor. A familiar face on stage, TV and film, Stephen was most recently seen on TV as Lloyd in Northern Lights.
